I was born and raised in the sunny city of San Diego. My father and mother both came from far away, Germany and Japan respectively, and got married soon after meeting. 

My mother was an artist at heart and her influence inspired me to make art as a child. I made comic books and various paintings all the way up into high school, where I took four years of art classes.

Initially I enrolled in SDSU as a major in business but quickly changed to graphic design after my first semester since it felt like the right decision to make. Ever since, I have been incredibly happy with my decision and I have been working towards getting my degree so that I can pursue graphic design full time. Through my time in the art program I have learned many tricks of the trade with my favorites being branding and UX/UI design.

In my free time I love to hike, rock climb, and playing video games. My favorite thing is incorporating my hobbies into the designs I make.
